Kids and teens are fearless when it comes to technology. Most of them take to tablets, iPhones and computers to access the Internet like ducks do to water, and gain a great deal of educational and entertainment benefits from it. Few of them know about the dangers lurking below the surface. They are unware of the digit footprint they leave behind. There are a number of good things about social media – but also potential dangers. A big question is how to make children aware of the dangers without diminishing their interest and enthusiasm for technology.

Social media allows people to come together to create post, share content, comment on and send messages and all of them leave your digit footprint. The following are a few social media tools that create digital footprints: Text Instant message Videos and live feeds Mail Tweets Snap chat Post to your and friends & family accounts Selfies and other pictures The are a number of other multimedia tools and they all can leave a footprint and/or create a record on the web.
