3 Summary Scene Eight starts with Corky tagging and ending with Amalia asking Marisa for forgiveness. Scene nine explores Amalia’s reaction to Alejandro dying and Marisa seeing a dead bird and woman. Scene Ten describes how Marisa was raped in school Marisa comes home drunk and argues with Amalia about their relationship Amalia leaves Marisa, she reminisces their time together.

4 Analysis Scene 8 is the outcome of the huge argument that Amalia and Marisa have and Amalia leaves asking forgiveness because she is not really a “lesbian”. Amalia is torn by Alejandro’s death and feelings resurface creating conflict with her relationship with Marisa Male dominance is reflected through Marisa’s rape and her personality change. The woman that Marisa explained she had loved is Amalia
