NZ Regional Councils manage natural and physical resource use and development (RMA) NZ has15 Regional Councils 3 have NZs known high temp. geothermal systems All except one are in the Taupo Volcanic Zone Waikato has 15 large systems (>70% of NZs resource) 5 of these have large power developments
