Definition of a Covenant
Webster Dictionary- (1) an agreement; a contract (2) Law (a) a contract drawn up under a seal, esp. undertaking to make regular payments to a charity (b) a clause of covenant. A covenant is a formal agreement. It may be an agreement between two people, a treaty between nations, or relationship between God and a human individual or nation.

Covenants in the Bible There were many covenants God made with people in the Bible. Hosea 6: 7 talks about the covenant God made with Adam In Genesis 6: 18 it tells us that God made a covenant with Noah and all living creatures. The Ark of the Covenant symbolized the covenant God made with the Israelites.

The Ark of the Covenant The Ark of the covenant was a rectangular box made out of acacia wood. The Ark contained the Ten Commandments, a golden pot of mana, and Aaron’s rod that blossomed over night. The Ark symbolized the covenant God made with the Israelites to protect them when they went into battle.

God’s covenant with Noah
The covenant that God made with Noah and all the living creatures was to never flood the earth again. God established the rainbow as a sign of his covenant.

People still rely on covenants and that people will stay true to them.
Conclusion Covenants were very important in Bible times and are still important today. People still rely on covenants and that people will stay true to them. This is a main principle in our society today.
