Then explain what was occurring at that time and how it shaped what he/she wrote.

Describe the tone, language that is used. Etc.

4. Purpose: The purpose of the document was…. This is shown by...
POV: (state the author) (state their position in society) then state what they believe. Next explain how their position influences what they beleive.
