3. Project Outline…
Design and construct a Marble Run to get a marble from the top to the bottom of a cardboard box in the longest time possible.
This needs to take at least 27.3 seconds to beat our current record time.

4. Materials… In your group you will be given: A cardboard box.
1m of masking tape.
A length of Corrugated Cardboard.
1 Pair of scissors.

5. Rules… The maximum group size is 3, the minimum size is 2 people.
You have 45 minutes to design, construct and test your marble run.
After 45 minutes has elapsed you will test your marble run against each of the other groups.
The box may not be opened or damaged in any way.
Only the outside of the box may be used.
The winner will be the group were the marble takes the longest time to descend.
The timer will start when the marble is released.
The timer will stop when the marble hits the bench.
If the marble stops on the way down, the team are disqualified.
If the marble stops for every group the winner will be where the marble has travelled the greatest distance down from the top of the box.
