Independent evaluation of professional competencies and experience National recognition and legitimacy of workforce development professionals Endorsed by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals Workforce Development is vast. Workforce development professionals work in a variety of settings including community colleges, community-based organizations, career centers, job corps centers, staffing agencies, the military, the private sector, and juvenile justice and corrections environments. serve job seekers and employers. provide academic and skills training, career assistance to help job seekers identify and secure employment serve local employers by matching skilled applicants with the human capital needs of the employer, provide outplacement services during layoffs, and facilitate onsite training. CWDP A nationally-recognized and portable credential increasingly important because it allows employers, business partners, and jobseekers to confidently place their trust in the skills of the credential holder 79 percent -- of those making hiring, promotion, salary, or bonus decisions indicated that when making such decisions, they place a value on the skills of individuals who have earned the CWDP Allows business partners to quickly identify skilled workforce development professionals

LABOR MARKET INFORMATION AND INTELLIGENCE
Accesses, analyzes, and uses local, state, and national electronic and non- electronic labor market information delivery systems and databases. Identifies the kinds of information individuals need, including assessment, in order to make realistic career decisions, and where that information can be found. Provides updated labor market information to employers, job seekers, and staff to develop opportunities. Understands basic computer technology used in workforce development. Attended Translating LMI into Service Delivery: An E- Learning Training Series, Tony Dias, USDOL Reviewed Department of Labor’s Guide to State and Local Workforce Data Option 1 I talk about jobs all of the time and help my customers obtain meaningful employment on a regular basis. The Recertification Process
Once granted, the CWDP is valid for 3 years CWDP Recertification requires: Maintaining professional affiliation Re-attesting to Code of Ethics Documenting at least 60 hours of professional development across the competencies (Kim)

Fees CWDP Initial Fee: Recertification Fee: Endorsements: $75 Member
$170 to become a member and apply for certification $175 non member Recertification Fee: $50 CWDP-NAWDP Member $65 CWDP-non NAWDP Member $25 CWDP Late fee (if re-certification application is more than 30 days past expiration) Endorsements: $25 Per Endorsement (Kim)
