2. Purpose
to promote scientific and social intercourse among its members,
(2) to foster neurological surgery as a specialty of medicine,
(3) to encourage and sponsor basic ,translational, and clinical research activity
in the neurological sciences,
(4) to promote the knowledge and skill of those who devote themselves to
neurological surgery in accordance with the high ideals of the medical profession
(5) to mentor and guide neurosurgeons in the practice of basic, translational,
and clinical research.

4. The Academy and the Summit
Most recent organization that joined
(2) Objective is to help complement and coordinate research activities amongst
the spectrum of neurosurgical societies
(3) The Academy primarily caters to faculty (more than residents)
and faculty’s research
(4) Academy will continue to work with other neurosurgery organizations in the
Summit to improve the quality of NS research, to increase the funding
opportunities for NS research and to ensure that research remains a NS priority
for our faculty and residents that they mentor
