Criteria for the selection of the indicators for the comparison:
the indicator's relevance in respect of gender equality issues availability of the indicator for Switzerland the availability of current data, primarily for Switzerland and secondly for the other countries

Conclusions about the use of the UNECE Database
(1) current data must be available and updated regularly problem of the frequency and mode of data supply by the countries has to be resolved sufficient resources must be available at the UNECE for database maintenance
