Inspiration trip for Swedish Automotive Cluster
13-17 January, 2020

2. Background
Palo Alto is one of a few technical areas with a lot of interest to the ”new” automotive industry
Many members in FKG has asked for a Go Global trip to California
Both Volvo AB and Volvo Cars have R&D centre in the area
This Go Global will be inspiring and learning.
The Go Global will be done in cooperation with Vinnova
In cooperation with NorPart (Norwegian automotive industry)

3. Cost and financing
Flights and accommodation will be paid by participants itself.
FKG will book the hotel as a group
A fee for project planning and travels on site will be added (7 000 Sek). (1 to 1 cost like bus travel)
Program starts on Sunday afternoon the 12:th of January

Our proposal is to start with a Swedish day and visit both Volvo Cars, Volvo AB and Ericsson. They all have 150 persons each here and they work with the new mobility and R&D.
All this companies are important for FKG members and we see this visits as an important.

Plug and Play is a start up arean. They where early investors in companies like Google, LinkedIn and others. Thay have today many start ups and they work together with 50 % of the Fortune 500 companies
Lucid/ Rivian eller Neuron
We are working on to get a visit to an OEM for Tuesday. Kristina Bunger at the Swedish Conculate is very helpful try to get a visit on one of this 3 OEM

9. Program vecka 15.1 Ericsson
Rockwell automation is a vey interesting player in the world and we will visit the HQ for R&D.
We will have a session with our Swedish ambassador in US.
She will explain Sweden and US relations and we will ask her to tell more about the upcoming electrion next year and also information about the automotive industry
Intel is a competitor to NVIDIA and they both work with software in Automotive.
This will be a perfect end to our week.
