What is Reflective Teaching?
... stepping back, thinking, finding, and probably solving ‘the existing educatonal problems by adopting a set of problem solving strategies (Phan, 2009) ... critically examining teaching practice, coming up with ideas for promoting the teaching practice, and putting the ideas into practice (Akbari, 2007).

How important is it for teachers?
According to Farell (1998), reflective teaching benefits ESL/EFL teachers in 4 major ways: helping teachers free from impulse and routine behavior; allowing teachers to act in a deliberate, intentional manner and avoid the “I don’t know what I will do today”; distingusihing teachers as educated human beings since it is one of the signs of inteligent action; gaining experience in a community of professional educators

How to do a Reflective Teaching?
1. Students’ Feedback: Open-ended questionnaire Closed-ended questionnaire Check-lists Blank index cards Voic Etc.

Characteristics of Reflective Teacher
Dewey (1933) said that attitudes play an important role in developing reflective thinking, i.e.: 1.Open-mindedness (‘freedom from prejudice, partisanship and other such habits as close the mind’) 2. Whole-heartedness (‘genuine enthusiasm’) 3. Responsibility (a willingness ‘to consider the consequences of a projected step ... (and) adopt these consequences when they follow reasonably from any position already taken’)
