MUNG BEANS

ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to determine the effect of different amount of water on the growth of the Mung beans. The effect of the experiment will be carried out by the measurement of the height of the plants in which watering the plants with different measurement of water. 211/6/2019

HYPOTHESIS The greater the amount of measurement of the water, the faster the growth and the taller the height of the Mung beans plant. 311/6/2019

BACKGROUND Water helps a plant by transporting important nutrients through the plant. Nutrients are drawn from the soil and used by the plant. Without enough water in the cells, the plants droop, so water helps a plant stand. Water carries the dissolved sugar and other nutrients through the plant. Roots allow a plant to absorb water and nutrients from the surrounding soil, and a healthy root system is key to a healthy plant. The leaf may be the most important organ for plants to transfer solar energy to biological energy by means of photosynthesis. Leaf size, number, functional traits, and photosynthetic capacity are closely related to plant size and competitive abilities in growth. 411/6/2019

BACKGROUND Plants use the sun's energy to makes their own food energy in their leaves. Not enough sun will slow down a plant's growth and even kill it. Too much sun can be a problem too, if the plant and soil are drying out too quickly. 511/6/2019

MATERIALS 2 BLACK PLASTIC POTS GARDENING SOIL 30 PIECES OF MUNG BEANS ( 15 PCS. EACH POTS) ½ CUP OF WATER 1 CUP OF WATER TO BE POURED IN OTHER PLANT 611/6/2019

Procedure in planting Mung Beans 711/6/2019Add a footer Step 1: Soak the mung beans with water overnight Step 2: Loosen the soil Step 3: Drain the water from the cup, then put the damp seeds in the soil Step 4: Water the planting site’s soil Step 5: Place the plant outside and the other one inside

OBSERVATION Plant A watered with one cup of water two times a day to be the tallest and will grow very well, followed by Plant B watered with one half cup of water has a slow growth. Number of times watered per day can affect the growth of the plant. Sunlight also affects the production of leaves. 811/6/2019

CONCLUSION The experimental data and analyzed results supported our hypothesis that the amount of water and sunlight, the faster and the higher it grows. But only up to a certain point, if less amount of water, the slower the growth of the plant. Important mediums like water and sunlight can affect the growth and the measurement of the Mung Bean plant. 911/6/2019
