Act 1 Scene 3: Characters Casca Cicero Cassius Cinna

Act 1 Scene 3: Overview Casca and Cicero meet in a roman street, where they both express concern over bizarre events that happened that day. Hearing each others stories, they decide that the events are not just natural occurrences, but a sign of potential danger ahead. Continuing on with their conversation, Cicero inquires if Caesar will be at the capitol the next day, to which Casca replies that he will. As Cicero leaves, Cassius enters from wandering the streets, taking no shelter from thunder or lightening. Casca asks why he would endanger himself so, to which he answers that he is pleased and believes the gods are warning them about the terrible state Rome will be in under Caesar’s rule. When Casca informs Cassius of the fact that the senate plans to crown Caesar the next day, Cassius proclaims that if they can make a weak man like Caesar king, they can empower him to beat a tyrant and that Rome must be trash to have Caesar as a king. Cinna then enters and Cassius divulges his plan to the two of them: He plans to turn Brutus against Caesar, and, with the help of Cinna, throws letters at Brutus’ house written in different handwritings claiming how Caesar shouldn’t be King.
