This Digital Interactive Notebook is designed to help you better understand Age of the Renaissance & Reformation in World History. It includes pages on vocabulary terms, people, and key events of these periods. On each page you will see blue text boxes where you can type responses. Simply click in the box and begin typing to provide your response. You can also add your own text boxes by clicking on the text box icon ( ). You also will need to add images to various pages. You can do this by clicking on the “Image” icon ( ) or by going to “Insert > Image” in the menu. Each text box can also be resized using the borders so that each fits on your pages.

Directions: The Sistine Chapel is the largest and most important chapel in the Vatican. Its ceiling was famously painted by Michelangelo and it is one of the best examples of Renaissance art. 6 Literary Works of the Renaissance
Directions: While most people think of the great artists when they think of the Renaissance, there were also many writers in Europe who produced influential works. Some (like Dante) influenced the beginning of the Renaissance while others came later as the Renaissance spread through Europe. 7 Comparing the Italian & Northern Renaissance
Directions: Before 1500, the Italian Renaissance had little influence outside Italy. However, ideas eventually spread around Europe. This became known as the Northern Renaissance and influenced life in Germany, England, and other areas of Europe. It began with the Council of Trent in 1545 and resulted in various actions taken by the church. 13 Timeline of the Reformation in Europe
Directions: The Protestant Reformation was a religious, cultural, and political upheaval that radically changed Europe in the 1500’s. Sort the events below in order by dragging and dropping them and place the year each occurred in the box on the timeline.
