2 Kings Chapter 6 April 6, 2008

Ecclesiastes 10:20 Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird of the air may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say.

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. He shall say: "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid;

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."

Genesis 19:11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

Proverbs 25:21-22 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. The most gentle and sensitive woman among you-- so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 with the sole of her foot-- will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears.

Deuteronomy 28:51-57 For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities.

You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.
Leviticus 26:29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.

Lamentations 2:20 “Look, O LORD, and consider: Whom have you ever treated like this? Should women eat their offspring, the children they have cared for? Should priest and prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?”

Lamentations 4:10 With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food when my people were destroyed.

Ezekiel 5:10 Therefore in your midst fathers will eat their children, and children will eat their fathers. I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds.

1 Kings 18:17 When he saw Elijah, he said to him, "Is that you, you troubler of Israel?"
