2. How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities?
One example, could be when you’re applying for a job. They can easily just search your name up and everything you’ve posted online will be right in front of their eyes. It wont necessarily be all good things. If you’ve ever posted anything mean, or inappropriate, they can have access to it in a blink of an eye. Your digital footprint could easily ruin your future.
Second example, could be if you’re on vacation. You could be posting your view, and maybe even “tag” your whole family that’s with you. Anyone could search your name up to see if you’re home and since you’re on vacation with your whole family, they can come break into your home.

3. Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.
Putting as minimal information on your account as possible. Try not tagging your location. Not sharing to much about your self. 01
Only allowing people you actually know follow you. Also by keeping your account private, it’s easier to control who’s following you. 02
Always think before you post. This may sound simple, but if you really put the thought, it hopefully wont come back at you. Think long term. 03

4. What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them?
Throughout this PowerPoint, it shows how I would tell a fellow peer. Basically, keeping your identity “low-key”, still means you can enjoy using all the social media apps. Keeping those three strategies in mind all the time before you post anything, or share your location.
In my opinion, if I could re-due my social media status, I would never get any app in the first place.
