1 Problem Statement To transform the traditional system to automated system(ERP). No centralized control. Low data privacy. Huge amount of human resources is required.

2 Literature Survey Traditional Approach No centralized control
Manual process Low data security or privacy Require more employees

3 What is ERP? ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is an industry term for the broad set of activities. ERP software applications of school can be used to manage various departments. In short ERP stands for “Enterprise Resource Wide Planning.”

4 Why ERP? Give centralized control over the system
Provide Better security or privacy Less amount of human resources required Less manual processing

5 X ERP Architecture Database Application Server 2 Tier 3 Tier
It's month end, now comes the reconciliation crunch Appsworld January 2004 12/19/2019 1:05:35 PM ERP Architecture Application 2 Tier X Database Application Server Application 3 Tier Browser Java Move from 2 tier two three tier architecture. Simplified Deployment Other advantages of this architecture become apparent when we look at application deployment. In client server environments, you would need to install the application on each desktop. If you add new users, you need to install the application. If you want to upgrade.... you need to install the application. If we’ve learned one thing from Y2K compliance, it’s that upgrading 100’s or 1000’s of desktops is a challenge best avoided. The true, three-tier architecture avoids this pitfall. By storing the application on the middle tier, the ICA requires you to upgrade only the servers. Clients upgrade themselves. As soon as the browser detects that a new application version exists, it’s downloaded automatically. Even some “web” tools use plug ins that load windows components as opposed to IC architecture. These can be as difficult to uninstall as typical windows applications. Prepared by : Richard Byrom - RPC Data

11 How should we implement ERP Systems?
Software development life-cycle model used is Iterative Waterfall model The database connectivity used will be Java Database connectivity(JDBC). The database will be created in Oracle Software applications will be developed using advanced java components such as swing, packages, etc.

12 System Requirements Hardware Specification: Server configuration
Server configuration Intel Pentium – IV processor. Minimum 50 MB hard disk space. Typical 512 MB RAM (2 GB recommended). Client configuration Typical 512 MB RAM Software specification: Server configuration Operating System - Windows Server 2003. Backend- Oracle 10g Client configuration Operating System- Windows /NT/XP Frontend- JAVA

13 Future Enhancement It can be enhanced to web application which can be accessed worldwide. Different schemes can be provided through this application to school.

14 Conclusion We conducted the depth study of the various factors.
We tried to understand the meaning and importance. A thorough detailed analysis of the required system has been carried out its scope and advantages have been studied. The technology has been determined. The basic objectives and benefits have been outlined.
