2 Overdose Cardiac Arrest
2017 Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival (CARES) added Overdose as cause in 2017. In 2017 of 133 total cardiac arrests (non-traumatic) in Sioux Falls: 7 cardiac arrests were OVERDOSE etiology or 5.2% 2018 In 2018 of 138 total cardiac arrests (non-traumatic) in Sioux Falls: 20 cardiac arrests were OVERDOSE etiology of 14.5% 2019 is trending similar to 2018 Overdose Cardiac Arrest

Sioux Falls averages 12 patients per month who receive Narcan prehospital May 2018 – 20 patients received Narcan prehospital - system high November 2018 – 5 patients received Narcan prehospital – system low Narcan Administration
