TEA: 2018: 40.7% (target 40%) ELET: 2018: 10.6% (target below 10%) Employability: 2018: 81.6% (target 82%) Adult learning: 2018: 11.1% (target 15%) Underachievement: 2015: 19.7% reading; 22.2% mathematics; 20.6% science (target below 15%) Learning mobility HE: 10.7% (target 20%)

5 Relevant policy processes
Current policy context: Europe 2020, ET 2020 Future: Successor frameworks for the two above European Pillar of Social Rights European Education Area Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4) SDG-4 GOAL to ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030’. 10 targets, including 7 expected outcomes and 3 means of achieving the targets

7 Dialogue with MS IEG on evidence monitoring, SGIB, EDUC
Notion of 'benchmarkability' Set of benchmarks in single digits Continuity matters (ELET, TEA, ECEC, PISA) Indicator development needed in: mobility; digital competences; entrepreneurship education; VET; Important to report on equity aspects (gender, social/migrant background, regional aspects)

Early leavers from education and training; Tertiary education attainment and STEM; Early childhood education and care; Underachievement in reading, maths and science; Adult participation in learning; HE and VET mobility; Multilingualism; Digital competences; Education expenditure; Employability; Entrepreneurship education; VET.

9 Roadmap to ET 2030 On benchmark side: evaluation, preparation of technical proposals to support political choices later on Future orientations will be progressively presented in second half of 2019; full proposal and hopefully adoption in 2020 The current roadmap for the process is for 2019: under the RO presidency open brainstorming; under the FI presidency: outlining future orientations; for 2020: under the HR presidency outlining a proposal; under the DE presidency the adoption of the proposal.  The work of the four IEGs (one on ET Evidence Monitoring and three specific ones) has been concluded and draft output documents had been circulated to the SGIB in advance.
