3. Thanks to POW CRWC was awarded a mini grant for restoration of the stream bank.

4. In support of the project the City of the Village of Clarkston pledged to fund additional plants to extend the restored bank to the pedestrian bridge.
Community members such as Friends of Depot Park and Clarkston United Methodist Church as well as many individuals supported the project, and assisted with the planting.
More than 1500 native plants in 26 varieties were planted.
The project covered approx sq. ft.

6. Vegetation was removed, and an erosion blanket was installed.

8. Restoring the stream bank at Depot Park brought community members together while providing an educational opportunity for those involved. In the long run habitat, bank stability and stormwater control will be improved along with the natural beauty of the park. Educational signage and a ribbon cutting ceremony coming soon!
