GIVE EAR

Joel 1:8-14 “8 Lament like a virgin wearing sackcloth for the bridegroom of her youth. 9 The grain offering and the drink offering are cut off from the house of the LORD. The priests mourn, the ministers of the LORD. 10 The fields are destroyed, the ground mourns, because the grain is destroyed, the wine dries up, the oil languishes. 11 Be ashamed, O tillers of the soil; wail, O vinedressers, for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field has perished. 12 The vine dries up; the fig tree languishes. Pomegranate, palm, and apple, all the trees of the field are dried up, and gladness dries up from the children of man. 13 Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar. Go in, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! Because grain offering and drink offering are withheld from the house of your God. 14 Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.”

John 13:7 "Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.””

Everyone… your area of life your expertise

Key Apostolic Principle: you are responsible for the area God has given you into.

Our chief responsibility is prayer!

Reasons we face crisis:
Carelessness with God Obedience (LevelingUp) Unavoidable part of calling To wake someone else up ...

Reasons we face crisis:
5. God is doing something UNEXPECTED

John 13:7 "Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.””

When God’s action is unexpected, the crisis makes us pay very close attention.

Acts 1:12-14 “Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away. 13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.”

In the Crisis they DEVOTED THEMSELVES TO PRAYER
God translated that devotion into POWER!
