Strategic Initiatives
Building strong communities where everyone has an opportunity to succeed. BUILDING OUR FUTURE SERVING OUR SENIORS Communities prosper only when people of all income levels and life stages have a range of living options. A place to call home offers seniors an opportunity to live and grow with independence and dignity. HOUSING CHOICES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT People with unique challenges need stable housing to provide a secure and stable place for themselves and their children. Creating jobs and business activity makes the pie larger and helps to hold the line on residential property taxes.

Building Our Future Create 300+ new units of workforce housing
Increase homeownership services Add 10 new Supportive Housing Units To be a vibrant and growing community, a good mix of jobs at a variety of wage rates is needed as well as enough housing that is affordable to all income levels so that those who work in the county can also call it home. This will help ensure that businesses that want to grow and expand will have a reliable labor force to fuel it. Available affordable housing is critical to that effort to attract and retain a talented workforce. 250 by when? Create shovel-ready sites Leverage private investment through the Open to Business and the Predevelopment Finance Fund In addition to housing, the CDA helps communities grow businesses and create jobs. That means raising the visibility of our 33 unique communities, letting brokers and realtors know about available sites, and providing expertise and financing to new and existing businesses. We are working on an exclusive website that would promote the assets and benefits of having a business in the county and at the same time connect site selectors to our communities.
