17. First Summer Program Since 2000, Siena College has had 65 traditional undergraduate mathematics majors earn secondary teaching certification. Six of these graduates (less than 10%) are teaching in high needs districts. Participation in the Noyce summer program has resulted in six of seven STEM majors being very interested in teaching in a high needs district for the first teaching position.
