1 Air Masses Create a list of climate zones starting at the top of the globe. Include temperatures, moisture level, latitudes & 1 city found in the climate zone. Create a list of air mass types. Include where they form, temperatures, and moisture level. Draw and label 4 types of fronts. Include the air masses involved, the weather they produce, and how it appears (symbol) on a weather map.

2 Global movement Indicate on the globe where an El Niño current would occur. Show the direction in which it moves and the weather effects in the USA and Australia Indicate on the globe where the global winds are and where they blow. Indicate which would be high/low pressure and the average temperature Indicate on the globe where the tropic of Cancer and the tropic of Capricorn are, and what their significance is

3 Storms Create an organizer that classifies and explains each type of storm. Include how it forms, the air masses and conditions involved, the duration, and after effects. Be sure to include pictures, and complete explanations

4 Station Model Draw and label the parts of a station model (10 labels)
Draw and create a data set for the following station models 3. Use the following data sets to draw station models Temperature: 34 Dew Point: 2 Current Weather: clear Wind Direction: WSW Wind Speed: 5 knots Cloud Cover: mostly cloudy Pressure: mb Tendency: 10 rising, then steady Visibility: 66 Precipitation: 0 Temperature: 5 Dew Point: 5 Current Weather: freezing rain Wind Direction: NW Wind Speed: 10 knots Cloud Cover: overcast Pressure: mb Tendency: steady Visibility: 6 Precipitation .5 Temperature: 28 Dew Point: 27 Wind Direction: ESE Wind Speed: 15 knots Current Weather: light Snow Cloud Cover: mostly cloudy Pressure: mb Tendency: 19 rising Visibility: .5 Precipitation: .25

5 Hurricane Tracking 1. Plot the paths of both hurricanes:
Doria (red) Betsy (blue) 2. Answer the Questions & Conclusions on the front.
