12. Mode of functioning of the Forum
Policy umbrella: Under the European Neighbourhood Policy with the expectation of exploring linkages with the Union for the Mediterranean
Membership: national delegations from the ENP-South countries, headed by the DGs of NSOs, and high level representatives of Eurostat, EuropeAid, EFTA and European National Statistical Offices.
Observers: heads/delegates of statistical services of international agencies, potential users of statistics in the region and delegates concerned from national ministries
Frequency: biennial meetings
Financing: the organization of the Forum and the participation of MED members are funded by Eurostat, subject to the availability of funds 12

13. The operation of the Forum
 Chairing: The Forum members appoint two Chairs in plenary session, one from the EC and one from the MED Countries
Secretariat of the Forum : The Support Cell will provide substantial secretarial services to the Forum as necessary
National coordinators : one coordinator from each NSO
Monitor and report on programme activities at national level
Keep national statistical systems informed about programme activities
Inform the Support Cell about events hosted in their countries
Support the implementation of Working Group activities
Relationships with international and regional organizations
Formalizing relationship with International Agencies (exchange data, joint questionnaire, tools)
Synergies – involvement in the Forum session- joint events...)
