2 Corinthians 5:14-15; 17-18 “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;”

Five great motivators:
Faith Hope Love Fear Hate

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Hope is necessary for life change.
Zechariah 9:12 “Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.” Hope is created by promise. Life changing hope becomes reality when you believe the promises of God.

Psalm 119:114 “You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.” John 1:12 “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God …” John 3:35-36 “The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”

John 8:12 - “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” John 11:25 - “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;’” John 15:5 - “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Romans 8:1-2 - “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:37, 39 - “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Philippians 1:6 “… being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

What moves you? 1. My life changed and continues to change because of hope. 2. My hope is created by promises. 3. I am confident of these promises because they are promises made by God. Jude verses 24 & 25 - “To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
