1 Parent Information Evening
Go4Schools APP Parent Information Evening

2 From September 2019 you will be able to access the go4schools app.
To use the app you will need to have activated your go4schools account as a first time user at Should you be experiencing difficulties with this please contact Mrs Collins. You will be able to view your child’s: timetable homework attendance behaviour attainment information (later on in the Autumn Term)

3 Overview The homepage shows a student’s current timetable and overview of the status of their homework. If you scroll down you will see attendance, behaviour and attainment information. If you tap on the timetable or homework you can view more information. You will also receive notifications containing a summary of homework tasks at the end of the school day. Should you NOT wish to receive these daily updates you will need to log into the main go4schools system and change your settings there.

4 Changing email notifications:
Login into using your user name and password. Click on my settings: Scroll down to “manage your communication settings” and select “use when enabled” to “No” if you want to turn notifications off. You can also change behaviour updates to “never”, “daily, or “weekly”. Remember to press save!

5 Timetable detail: Timetable:
You are then presented with today’s timetable. You can tap or swipe to previous and future days at the top. Timetable: From the main screen you can also tap on the timetable for more information.

6 Homework overview: Homework detail:
The homework card allows you to filter by ongoing, extended, pending homework or history. Tap on the specific homework you wish to view. Homework detail: Detailed homework information is visible with attachments and web links. Your child's class teacher may track the homework completion online and you will be able to see when they have ticked off the completion of homework. Currently students cannot tick off homework tasks as complete.

7 Attendance: From the main screen scroll down to view attendance information. A chart displays the overall percentage attendance. The App will also display detail about specific attendance marks including authorised and unauthorised attendance marks. Late marks are incorporated into the overall attendance marks and unknown marks are waiting for confirmation of the reason for the absence. NOTE: There are two possible sessions in a school day, AM and PM. The system excludes “today’s” attendance mark form the current figure (so is not a live figure).

8 Behaviour: Continue to scroll down the app to the Behaviour information. This will display a bar chart of both negative and positive behaviour points over time, the chart can be scrolled across throughout the year. Positive points are shown in green and negative points in red with a total points count. If you prefer you can toggle the graph to show the number of events rather than points. This will allow you to see the number of positive and negative events recorded over time. Again, you can scroll the chart across and positive events are in green and negative events in red.

9 Behaviour detail: Attainment: Reports:
If you tap the ‘details’ button or tap in the white space around the behaviour chart you can then view the detailed event record for your child including the date, the subject, the event type and the associated points. This is useful to see if positive or negative behaviour are occurring in certain lessons. The green colour indicates a “3” for a positive behaviour point which is allocated 1 positive behaviour point score (seen in the green circle) The red colour indicates a “1” or a “0” for negative behaviour points, which are allocated -1 or -2 points respectively (seen in the red circle). Attainment: Scrolling down further, you can see the attainment card, showing your child’s Key stage targets, when they go live later this half term. Reports: At present reports will still only be available through the main website whilst the app is still being further developed.

10 How can my child access the system?
Your child will need to register as a first time user at on the student page of go4schools. They will need to enter their school address which has been given to them in their computing lesson To access their link from go4schools they will need to log into their account which can be done by logging into their account at school/home via entering their address and password that they have been given/set. They will then have access to the same things as you as a parent. Please encourage them to use it. They can also download the app if they have either a phone/tablet with the appropriate device, using information given tonight to you.

11 Thank you for taking time to come to learn more about go4schools this evening. Any Questions?
