Current hardware and operating system are coming to “end of life”
Maintenance and support will be more expensive as vendor phases the technology out
We are reaching capacity with the current systems
Current systems do not have the flexibility to adapt to the New Banner configuration
Current systems will require us to purchase more Oracle DB software – very expensive!

Lower environmental impact in terms of power usage and cooling requirements

9. Funding Request funding of $60K to purchase two additional servers
IS in process of investing another $180K in support of ARIES
The funding will provide the additional servers needed to support ARIES
Currently have Catalog and Faculty Grading modules up and running
Registration module is in the works including mobile registration
