1 Glucose log of a 51-year-old patient with insulin-requiring type 2 diabetes and an A1C of 7.8% who takes 10 mg of glyburide at bedtime and 25 units of basal insulin at 9:00 p.m. Glucose log of a 51-year-old patient with insulin-requiring type 2 diabetes and an A1C of 7.8% who takes 10 mg of glyburide at bedtime and 25 units of basal insulin at 9:00 p.m. The patient is asymptomatic but noted that she was awakening on two or three mornings with blood glucose values < 70 mg/dl.
