What is an operating system An operating system is the most important software that runs on a computer. It manages the computer's memory and processes, as well as all of its software and hardware. It also allows you to communicate with the computer without knowing how to speak the computer's language. Without an operating system, a computer is useless. in short sentences : (computer's operating system (OS) manages all of the software and hardware on the computer). So It works the connection between computer and user.

Type of operating system Operating systems usually come pre-loaded on any computer you buy. Most people use the operating system that comes with their computer, but it's possible to upgrade or even change operating systems. The three most common operating systems for personal computers are Ms-Dos, Microsoft Windows, mac OS, and Linux.

Microsoft windows Microsoft created the Windows operating system in the mid-1980s. There have been many different versions of Windows, starting from Windows 1 in 1985, windows 2 in 1987, after then windows 3, then in 1992 they produced windows 3.1, in 1995 they produced windows 95, then windows 98 in 1998, windows 98-second edition, then windows Millennium, in 2000 it has been produced windows 2000, then windows XP in 2001, then vista in 2007, then windows 7 in 2009, windows 8 in 2012, windows 8.1 in 2013 and in the last, they have been produced window 10 in 30/ 9/ 2014.

Introduce windows 10 Windows 10 is a Microsoft operating system for personal computers, tablets, embedded devices and internet of things devices. Microsoft released Windows 10 in 30/9/ 2014 as a follow-up to Windows 8. The company has said it will update Windows 10 in continuance rather than release a new, full-version operating system.

Windows 10 security The operating system also includes virtualization-based security tools such as Isolated User Mode, Windows Defender Device Guard, and Windows Defender Credential Guard. These Windows 10 features keep data, processes and user credentials isolated in an attempt to limit the damage from any attacks. Windows 10 also expanded support for BitLocker encryption to protect data in motion between users' devices, storage hardware, emails.

Windows 10 system requirements The minimum Windows 10 hardware requirements for a PC or laptop are: Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS
