How do you define diversity?
It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio- economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.

How the Olympic Experience Benefits Teaching Effectiveness of Faculty
Meets University and course objective – Bringing real-world experience in to the classroom ( first question on end of course survey) Dimensions of Race and Ethnicity Gender (two over sized suitcases vs. backpack) Socioeconomic status (money vs. travel experience) Age (traditional age vs. returning learner) Physical abilities (traveling with seniors me) Traditional college experience

Who? The MGT 8800 case experience is open to all MSP and MSM students that have completed MGT 7710 and received approval from their advisor. Students that are looking for a real-world experience doing research for an international organization. Alternative to writing the traditional thesis Some students just want travel experience

What ? This section of MGT8800 will be an instructor lead class
Students will be assigned groups and assigned an actual case study from the USOC Students will work to together to write a thorough case study as their thesis. Students will travel to Colorado Springs, Co. reading week and present their case findings to executives of the CSOTC.

Where? Students will be lodged at the Olympic training Center in the same buildings as the athletes. Program provides an overview immersion into the life of the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Site seeing in Colorado

Projects for Examining the cost to be a “college student-athlete” at Wilmington. Develop a Campaign to Engage and Motivate 1 million Individuals to donate $100 by 2020 to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Foundation. Develop strategies to increase engagement of Team USA fans capitalizing on social media as an economical means to reach 50 million users by 2020
