2 Estonia is a small country in the Baltic Region of Northern Europe.
Neighbours of Estonia: Sweden, Finland, Russia and Latvia. Its population: 1,332,893. Capital and the largest city: Tallinn. Currency: Euro President: Kersti Kaljulaid Area: about 45,000 km2

4 The capital city - Tallinn
Tallinn in one of the best preserved old cities in Europe. 80 km away from Helsinki, the capital of Estonia lies north-west of the country. 400,00 thousand people live in the city.

6 Religion Estonia is the least religious country in the world. Only 14% of the population declaring religion to be an important part of their daily life.

These sandwiches are very unique and often receive a lot of attention at parties. The ingredients that are combined together, create the perfect bite of flavours. Of course, shops are  full of different bread, even with nuts and chocolate. But some years ago, the first lady Evelin Ilves promoted the homemade bread. It originates from Southern Estonia. In the second half of the 20th century, this dish reached cafeterias as well and it has by now become a national dish that is served at various official events.

It was built during the period when the country was part of the Russian Empire and is  in the Tallinn Old Town Meteorite fall caused big damages, it could be compared to explosion of atomic bomb. At the height of 5-10 km meteorite fell apart, came down to the ground in pieces and created this crater. It is more than 30 m high, making it the highest waterfall in Estonia.

The University of Tartu is the only classical university in the country and also the biggest and most prestigious university in Estonia. Town Hall Square has been a market place and the centre of this old Hanseatic town since the Middle Ages. It became the centre of the Lower Town at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. It is the largest erratic boulder in the glaciation area of North Europe. It has a height of 7 m, extent 49,6 m and a mass of approximately 2,500 tonnes.
