1. ORIGINAL SIN What does this mean? We are born with it
Proof Psalm 51:5, Rom.5:12
We all sinned in Adam.
Born dead Eph. 2:1
Meaning?
Inborn separation from God and enmity against him.
Even the smallest children!
This also means we are totally depraved

2. Meaning?
All men, in every part (heart, mind, will, emotions) are completely evil in God’s sight.
Proof?
Gen.6:5, Eph.4:22.
We cannot choose good and we cannot choose God.(Psalm 14:2-3)
God’s standard of good is only what is done in obedience to his word, in faith and for his glory.
But just as our sin and guilt come through Adam as our head so..
Our salvation comes through Christ who accepted responsibility for our sins (of all his sheep)
So we are helpless without him (like a dead man)
We must repent and believe in him (and that takes supernatural work) Eph.2:1
So two things we need to believe for salvation….?
Original sin and Christ died for sinners (me included).
