1 Validating the effects of Plant Catalyst in Fertilizer Reduction on Yield and Quality of Burley Tobacco and Maize in Malawi

2 PRESENTATION OUTLINE Introduction Objectives Materials and Method
Results and discussion Conclusion

3 Plant Catalyst Benefits!
Plant Catalyst® sustainably increase profit-per-hectare By increasing agricultural yield per plant min 10% to Max 50% in a natural and climate-friendly way, It helps in larger fruit/flowers formation It enhances flavor and aroma. It reduces reliance on expensive, toxic fertilizers use and fertilizer amounts climate-smart.

4 Plant Catalyst Benefits!
It provide greater resistance to diseases and drought climate-smart It increase germination rates It expand root growth. more extensive root systems; Less nitrogen-based fertilizers are needed, which reduces the overall acidity in both soil and water source.

5 OBJECTIVE To investigate the effectiveness of Plant catalyst
On improving the uptake of nutrients into the tobacco / maize. On the attainment of higher yields and better quality of tobacco / maize To evaluate the economics of using Plant Catalyst.

6 MATERIALS AND METHOD FACTOR A : FERTILISER RATE 0 = No fertilizer
1/3 = 1/3 of the recommended ½ rate = ½ of the recommended rate 2/3 = 2/3 of the recommended rate Full rate= Full rate of the recommended rate FACTOR B: Plant Catalyst 0 = no plant catalyst 30 = 30ml / sprayer 60 = 60ml/ sprayer Design: Split plot 3 replications Fertiliser rates = the main plot consisting of six ridges spaced at 1.2m and 7.2m in length and plants were spaced at 0.60m on the ridge. Plant Catalyst = sub plots consisting two rows with the two end plants discarded.
