Don’t be Late!

2. Arriving Tardy
If you ride a bus in the morning, you will be given a pass if your bus is late. You will use the pass to receive breakfast and to enter your first period class. 
If you are a car rider or you drive, you are expected to be in your fist period class by 8:55. If you are not in class you will be marked tardy and may lose your parking pass.
A tardy issued at the beginning of the year will stay on your record. Tardies will not reset at the beginning of each semester or quarter. 

3. Tardy Sweeps Tardy sweeps will be ever period, every day.
You will report to one of three tardy stations:
Front Office
Media Center
SRO Office

5. High School 101 ARHS DRESS CODE

6. Shorts and Dresses
Shorts and dresses are acceptable to wear as long as they are finger tip length. If they are not, you will be asked to change or sent to ISS.

7. Hats, Sunglasses, Bandanas, ETC.
Sunglasses: May NOT be worn in the building, with the exception of RX sunglasses.
Hats, bandanas, or anything of that nature may NOT be worn in the building.
The hoods of hooded sweatshirts will not be worn in the building.
Any type of head covering is not to be worn by girls or boys.
If there is a medical reason for a student to wear one of the above, a letter from a physician will need to be provided to the principal. Bandanas will not be worn on any part of the body.

8. Things That Are Not Acceptable
Crop tops and leggings are NOT appropriate for school 
If you are wearing leggings the top over it must be the appropriate fingertip length. Remember leggings are NOT pants.
Sagging is not acceptable. Please wear your pants on your waist.

During class exchanges
During ILT
After 3:55, unless in an after-school class or detention

12. Procedures during Class Changes
No headphones.
No phone calls. 
No texting and walking 

13. Rules in Class
No devices are allowed out in class unless the teacher gives permission. If any devices are seen out in class, they can be confiscated.
Devices need to be turned off and in your book bag during class time.
Do not use devices to cheat.

14. Devices can’t be used for…
Video or audio information involving sexual, violent, derogatory, or threatening content on school grounds, school events, or on school buses
Bullying, harassing, or teasing of any type 
Recording video
Possessing, Viewing, Taking, or Sending Pictures
Posting anything to social media

15. Videos and Social Media
Capturing video, audio, or photos of other people at Ashley Ridge is not allowed.
Posting photos, videos, or audio recordings of others taken in Ashley Ridge will result in disciplinary consequences.

16. Phone and Internet Safety
Do not post personal information online (name, age, birth date, address, telephone number, or school name). 
Do not post your picture or pictures of your family online – they can be copied or changed or used to find you.

17. Your responsibilities
Devices must be powered off during class (anything seen can be confiscated)
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF YOUR DEVICE.
THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR STOLEN DEVICE.

18. Consequences & fees
The first time your phone is confiscated, your parent has to come pick it up in the front office for a fee of $25. 
If you continue getting your phone taken, you could face OSS and loss of extracurricular activities.
Refusal to turn over an electronic device will result in Out of School Suspension and a phone obligation of $25.  

19. Know Your Teachers
Electronic policies may vary depending upon teacher preference.
Be sure you know what your teacher does and does not allow in his or her classroom.
