4 Exam periods Formal examination periods offered in December and April (June and August for summer terms) No holding examinations (formal or informal) during the 2 weeks preceding the formally scheduled examinations in December and April TA support for invigilating/marking of examinations depends on course size Deferred exams – Rare cases where Dean’s office approves a deferred exam. 5 Security and privacy training

6 Grades Grades are due 7 business days after the final exam date or 5 days following examination dates written on the last 2 days of the examination period. Upload grades onto FSC manually. FSC and Canvas are not linked.

7 Storage of final exams/student work
Final exams must be kept for 1 calendar year after the date of the exam. Return all final exams to the Department Administrative Assistant. Student work can be securely shredded once the term is over. DO NOT leave out exams for students to come pick them up on their own. You will print your own final exams. Please an electronic copy to

9 Resources Teaching Assistants – Hours are an average, expectations are flexible. Have a meeting before their duties start and schedule weekly meetings afterwards.
