2 What Is PowerPoint? PowerPoint is a presentation program created by Microsoft Office. It runs on Microsoft Windows and Apple’s Mac OS X operating system. It uses a graphical approach to presentations in the form of slide shows that accompany the oral delivery of the topic. The current versions are Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Mac. (wikipedia - PowerPoint)

3 Why USE PowerPoint? Easily assessable! Easy to navigate!
PowerPoint makes content available to a multitude of learners. It allows all users to use their own creative minds to individuality to create a presentation. Create interactive presentations containing text, art, animation, and audio and video elements. It is the best-known presentation graphics program available. Has a variety of different templates.

4 How to use It… 3. In the right hand corner, is where the editing is located. 4. F5 allows you to view the presentation as a slideshow 2. The Slides are stored on the left hand side. You can duplicate slides, or create them from a blank slate. When PowerPoint is opened, you create a Title and a Subtitle.

5 Advantages in using PowerPoint
PowerPoint is an easily accessed material that can be used in schools and at home. It gives teachers and students the opportunity to provide information in a variety of ways to better meet the diverse learning styles. Many educators have found that the use of technology in the classroom has changed the interest level of many students simply due to the fact that they are using technology themselves for personal reasons and are more interested in material presented through this familiar medium. Meet the needs of more students with varying learning styles and aptitudes. Provide ‘make up lectures’ to students who were absent. Supplement existing material and resources with a portable and remotely accessible source of information. Hearing impaired students can benefits by typing their information and have it spoken for them.
