King George hospital (KZN) Poor performance of contractors impacts negatively on quality and the timeous completion of projects. e.g. the Kimberley mental health facility (NC) and the Thabamoopo hospital (LP), where a new contractor has been appointed Planning of projects do not take full account of the cost and procurement of equipment and maintenance. E.g. Mamelodi Hospital (GT) The national department needs to enhance its monitoring and evaluation, Project sites must be visited at least twice a year.
