Describe a “spiritual person.” Cultural What are family’s values around parenting and the role of children? Are there holidays or celebrations that have meaning to you? If I were to live in your home, what would I need to know? Youth / Family How is family defined? Who are key family members not in the home? How are big decisions made? What are youth’s beliefs about what a family should look like? Do they differ from caregivers’ beliefs? Do you interact the same in public vs. private? Feelings / Behavior How optimistic are youth and family? Who supports them after an intense event? How does family view youth’s behaviors – willful or driven by underlying needs?
