2. What is rap? Rap is a way of talking. A rap poem:
1) Has a strong RHYTHM
2) Uses RHYME
3) Has a THEME which is either a story or a message.
4) Often has the word ‘RAP’ in the title.
5) Uses everyday, COLLOQUIAL language
6) Is often written in a DIALECT, such as a Caribbean dialect.

3. A brief history of RAP and RAP POETRY …
RAP has a long history – one that can be traced back to ‘TOASTING’ in Jamaica (talking over reggae records) and before that to the poetry of ‘GRIOTS’ (musicians-storytellers) in Africa.
RAP, in its modern form comes from a type of music called HIP-HOP.

4. ROMANIAN RAPPERS CreTzu Byga (C.I.A) Rappa Ombladon won
the Best Romanian Act Award
at the 
MTV Europe Music Awards 
in 2004 with the song "Egali din naștere" (Born Equal).

5. Tranda ismainly known for his collaborations with fellow Constanţa rapper Criss Blaziny and reggae artist Skizzo Skillz.

6. Guess Who He began his career as a member of the rap group Anonim
along with group members
Zekko and Griffo, and later launched
a successful solo career in music.
He is one of the most successful artists from the new wave of Romanian hip hop and has gained considerable appreciation and mainstream attention in Romania.

7. JerryCo
Mihai Dumitrescu better known by his stage name, JerryCo, is a Romanian rapper from Bucharest.
Pacha Man
He is well known for his aggressive style and trademark Patois-Romanian mixture approach to songwriting.

8. Tataee
Vlad Irimia primarily known by his stage name Tataee, is a Romanian record producer, rapper, record executive, and music manager.
He is one of the founders of the well-known Romanian hip hop trio B.U.G. Mafia, also having produced albums and overseeing the careers of many acclaimed Romanian rappers, such as La Familia, XXL & 10 Grei, Mahsat and JerryCo.
As a music producer, he is frequently credited as one of the pioneers and key figures in the architecture of the Romanian version of gangsta rap, a style of music that closely resembles its American counterpart but also includes various local influences derived from balkan music or, more recently, electronica.
