2 Understand how to set stepping stone goals
Short term goals Goals that you want to achieve very soon - in the next few days or weeks (example: get an “A” on your next English test) Medium term goals Goals that you want to achieve in the near future - the next six months to a year. (example: get an “A” in Math on your report card) Ultimate or Long team goals Goals that you want to achieve in the far future - five to ten years from now. (example: graduating from college or trade school)

8 Career Planning involves:
A list of steps including activities, work experience, and education/training needed to reach a career goal Step-by-step plan of action including career information influenced by the ultimate career goal A written outline (time schedule) of what a person wants to achieve including details of how goals will be achieved.

9 What is a Career Ladder? A sequence or related jobs – from entry-level to advanced – available at different education/training levels. They help people visualize and learn about the job options that are available as they progress through a career. Display only vertical movement between jobs.
