We help people lift themselves out of poverty through integrated prevention, stabilization and empowerment programs. Prevent Reach low-income households, provide information, referrals, emergency assistance, and care coordination Empower Strengthen households by providing access to mentoring, care coordination, vocational services & financial management Stabilize Provide shelter, housing and care coordination to stabilize individuals and families who are homeless

2 PROGRAMS Interfaith Works’ integrated programs help people lift themselves out of poverty BECKY’S HOUSE (BH) provides permanent supportive housing in an eight-bed home for older women who previously have experienced homelessness. CARROLL HOUSE MEN’S SHELTER (CH) provides transitional shelter, meals and case management to 70 men annually in a 32-bed facility. CONGREGATION & COMMUNITY EMERGENCY SUPPORT/HAND TO HAND (CCES) provides counseling, referrals, grants and loans to help 3,500 individuals stay utility cut-offs, avoid eviction, & pay for other essential expenses when facing a crisis. FRIENDS IN ACTION (FIA) serves 42 families with case management and 200+ trained volunteer mentors. INTERFAITH HOMES (IFH) houses 31 chronically homeless, disabled men and women annually in scattered-site, permanent supportive housing. INTERFAITH HOUSING COALITION (IHC) provides permanent housing with supports for 25 families. INTERFAITH WORKS CLOTHING CENTER (IWCC) provides free clothing and household goods to 12,900 income-qualified residents each year, including nearly 6,000 children. a INTERFAITH WORKS CONNECTIONS (IWC) links over 400 low-income Montgomery County residents to essential resources including food, vocational services, legal assistance, health services and child care. INTERFAITH WORKS EMPOWERMENT CENTER (IWEC) day program engages over 800 individuals experiencing homelessness annually with services, meals and shelter, including shelter in weather extremes. INTERFAITH WORKS RESIDENCES (IWR) provides individual residential units to 21 men and women who previously experienced homelessness, along with services to support their successful transition to housing. INTERFAITH WORKS WOMEN’S CENTER (IWWC) provides emergency shelter, meals, vocational services and case management to more than 250 women annually. PROJECT SHINE (PS) is a pilot mentoring program to address multi-generational poverty, connecting congregational volunteers with two families in need of community support, with guidance from IW staff. VOCATIONAL SERVICES PROGRAM (VSP) engages 250 low-income and homeless individuals in job-readiness classes, career counseling and training, and provides one-on-one job placement services. WATKINS MILL HOUSE (WM) provides transitional housing in an eight-bed home women with behavioral health challenges who previously experienced homelessness.
