I am green. Working with my partner helped me understand how to do the sums. He showed me how to line up the numbers properly. I was feeling a bit yellow and couldn’t think what to write. Then I used the word mat which gave me ideas. I am now green, my writing has good words in it.

I thought I was green but I got three wrong
I thought I was green but I got three wrong. When I looked at my mistakes I realised I wasn’t lining up my tens and my hundreds properly. Next time I will be careful when writing the sums.

I am still yellow because I find answering word problems hard
I am still yellow because I find answering word problems hard. I don’t understand what I need to do and if I’m adding or taking away. Next time I need to ask the teacher or my partner to help me to understand the question.
