Jeffrey Pawlan Region 6 Awards Chair

2 Purpose and Goals of the Award program:
Honor deserving people and OUs. Inspire people and OUs to achieve more.

3 All awards must begin at your Section level.
Award nominations must be made by an active IEEE member registered in your Section. You may not nominate yourself. You may not nominate an Awards Chair. You may not nominate a Section Chair if they are acting as the Awards Chair. (MGA rules) The nominees must be within your own Section.

Outstanding Engineer to honor IEEE members who have made outstanding contributions to engineering and society. Outstanding Leadership and Professional Service to honor IEEE members who have devoted significant effort to the IEEE in leadership roles. Outstanding Engineering Manager to honor IEEE members who have made a significant contribution as an engineering manager in their company.

Outstanding Educator to honor an educator who has made a significant contribution to science and engineering education. This is the only award that may be given to a non-IEEE member. Outstanding Company or Corporation to honor a company that has contributed significant use of their facilities, time, or money to the IEEE, and encouraged their employees to be active in the IEEE.

Best Large Student Branch (26 or more active members) Best Small Student Branch (<26 active members) to honor two IEEE Engineering Student Branches for actively promoting membership in the IEEE and helping their members with extracurricular training, education, and projects. Best Large Section (501 or more active members) Best Small Section (500 or fewer active members) To honor the two best Sections in Region 6.

7 All Nomination Submissions
Must use the 2016 Region 6 Nomination form. Everything must be submitted in one .docx file. No additional files. not PDF Submit to your Section’s Nominations and Awards Chair. If your Section has no Awards Chair, then submit to the Section Chair.
