15 Trip itinerary Monday Arrive at school 6:45, for departure from school at 7am. Begin drive to Brecon Beacons. Arrive at Boetius Centre approximately 11am. Sort out room allocations and have lunch (packed lunch not provided for today). Leave centre for afternoon hillwalking in local area. Return for dinner at Boetius centre at 6:30pm, followed by evening games and activities. Lights out 8:30

16 Tuesday Morning breakfast at Boetius centre and getting ready for climbing/ gorge walking day. Call of the Wild to pick us up from the Boetius centre. Divide into two groups, one group to do climbing whilst the other group goes gorge walking. Packed lunch (provided by Boetius centre) Reverse group activities Return to centre for showers, evening meal and evening games. Lights out 8:30

17 Wednesday Breakfast at Boetius centre, followed by packing and getting ready to leave. Begin drive back, stopping at Big Pit en route. Guided tour of Big Pit. Packed lunch (provided by Boetius centre) Time for gift shop Leave approximately 1pm, for return to Charlwood 6pm.

All specialist items for activities will be provided by Call of the Wild; there should be no need to buy anything new for this trip To bring: Packed lunch for Monday Small rucksack /drawstring bag for personal items in the minibus and to use on the Monday hill walk. Bag for personal kit for the trip: this will be transported in Mr Warren’s car and so a soft/squashy bag is required. Clothing / personal items: Clothes to travel in: clothing which will be the clothes to be worn on the hill walk on Monday afternoon: Trainers with decent ‘tread’, warm trousers eg tracksuit bottoms (not jeans), T shirt/polo shirt, sweatshirt/pullover, socks and pants. Also for the hill walk: waterproof coat with hood, woolly /fleece hat, gloves. Water bottle. To pack: For gorge walking: swimming costume, old trainers (must be lace up not Velcro), polyester T shirt/rash vest (not essential), plastic bin bag for wet items after the activity. For climbing: This can be the same clothes as for the hill walk. Spare clothes (in addition to the above): 3 pairs of socks, 3 pairs of pants, 1 pair of trousers (can be tracksuit), shirt, sweatshirt. Indoor footwear eg flip flops or thick socks. Spare pair of trainers. Sleep wear Sun hat in case of warm weather on the hill walk 2 towels: 1 for use at the centre; 1 small for use after gorge walking. Bedding: single sheet, duvet cover and pillow case Toiletries: Toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, brush/comb, shampoo, no aerosols. Other suggestions: reading book for personal time, small notebook and pencil, pocket money for shop at Big Pit (no more than £5).
