1 District Deputy Fast Start Training 2019
Introduction (Name, location, Term) This training will not give you everything there is to know about the District Deputy position. It will give you the basics and get you off and running in a efficient manner while you learn the finer details of being a Worthy District Deputy.

2 As district deputy, you have been appointed to provide leadership to the councils in your assigned district. Through your example of faith, charity and good judgment, you provide the model for council officers in your district to follow. Leader You will be leading 5-6 Councils during your term. Seeks Input Supportive Visionary Dependable Instructor: Will be instructing based on: Supreme Training Materials (videos, webcasts, publications) your experience State Training information Won't know all answers, but can find out. Open to ?? Motivator Communicator LISTEN Stop talking Be Patient Ask Questions Maintain eye contact Open Mind Team Work Many Hands make for little work. Build upon this. 12 Forms Ensure Councils submit forms on time
Councils must submit a copy of all forms to you Keep a file of submitted Council forms Submit your forms on time

13 Admission, Formation & Knighthood Degree Forms
Form DR23, Degree Request, as needed Form 450, District Deputy's Degree Exemplification Report, after each Degree (Complete a separate from for each Degree. Do not combine Formation and Knighthood Degrees on one form.)

14 Admission, Formation & Knighthood Degree Forms
Degree dates and information must be posted on the “State Website Degree Schedule” Recommended: Notify Council FS and District Deputy of candidates that the candidates received Degree(s). Members' FS (not the host council) is responsible for notifying Supreme.

Your best gauge of success as a district deputy is to ask, “Is the district better now than when I took office?” If the answer is yes, then you’ve been successful.
