To train doctoral students to become effective researcher through various research activities conducted by a student To level up the scientific quality of the thesis (international level) Successful completion of Research credit hours assumed as precondition to finish the thesis on time with high quality Adult training Dropout and extention rate is high, average year is 6

Talk at the conference at the National level, 1.5 CH Presentation at the conference at the International level, 2 CH OTU Full attendance at the “research seminar”, 0.1 CH Presentation of research results at the “research seminar”, 0.2 CH Talk at national level conference, 0.5 CH Talk at international conference, 1.0 CH

7 Papers: NUM Papers published in the peer reviewed domestic journals, 3 CH Papers published in the Journals published in foreign language with international editorial committee, 4 CH Monographs in Foreign (English or Russian) language, 10 CH Monographs in Mongolian language, 8 CH Peer reviewed journals with no Tomson Reuters indices, 8 CH Journals with Tomson Reuters indices, 10 CH Papers that are not yet published but accepted for publication are eligible, but need acceptance letter as a proof

Faculty’s academic counsel approves list of journals that acceptable for research credit hours It is strictly prohibited to include journals that are in Beall’s list of Predatory journals OTU University academic counsel approves the list of journals that acceptable for research credit hours

11 Process Doctoral student/supervisor requests for acceptance of research credit hours The Head of Faculty appoints steering committee in order to recognize research credit hours The committee decides whether the papers or talks made by PhD student are acceptable for research credit hours and decides the corresponding credit hours Head of Registrar assigns the credit hours to student in the Student management system

Supervisors who provided funding for PhD students will get career promotion Number of defended PhD students also influence for career promotion Free access to journals of Scopus and WoSci New grant programs: “Research Grants”, “Student researcher”

Organize capacity trainings for supervisors/French and other country’s case, Universities Introduce effective monitoring and guidance system for PhD students /French, Spain and Poland case, Universities Scholarship and financing for more doctoral students, Ministry Most scholarships cover only tuition fees, increase scholarships for living expenses Scholarship/grant which supports student mobility Lessons learnt for C3QA
