Tickets may be entered into drawing for your choice of prize. *Additional raffle tickets may be claimed by attending various events throughout the summer. 2 Keeping it summer simple!
 We’ve done away with those pesky reading records and tracking minutes! We are all about relaxing and discovering all the ways you can enjoy books, libraries and learning, while enjoying your summer. If you are setting goals for your child this summer, or just love a little friendly competition yourself, you may want to try our summer BINGO. All ages can participate. Simply pick up a bingo card, and each time you complete a row of reading, or related activities bring it in for a reward and tickets to enter for prizes. Feel free to shout “BINGO” too! Earn additional tickets by attending selected events throughout the summer. (Lego Club, Book Club, story time, special events & performers.) Go beyond the print book! Take a look at some ideas we have for you to incorporate reading in your daily lives, even if you cannot find the time to pick up a book. Books are great, either in print, audio or Ebook form. *Any of these ideas may be entered into your “Free Spaces” on your reading BINGO Card. Or you can make up your own ideas. Cooking Invent a recipe Create an interesting dish from a story, Try a new recipe. Traveling Family trip? Mark your route on a map No trip this year? Research somewhere you would LIKE to go! Send for free information. Create a make-believe place and write a short story or poem about it. The Great Outdoors Identify flowers & press in a book for the summer. Plan a camping trip, living rooms and backyards are acceptable, and make a list of everything you will need. Collect shells, rocks or other nature items. Use guidebook to identify Observe the night sky. Use a start guide to help you find constellations. Watch for birds or wildlife and record what you see. Other Ideas Read together as a family or read with a friend Go screen free for one day Write your own story/play/poem Draw a favorite scene from a book Write a letter to a friend Enjoy a “Universe of Stories” this the library!
