He has asthma. (physically weak)

He is a social outcast on and off the island.
He represents INTELLECT.

He is the choir boy who faints in the beginning of the novel.
He is timid, and so has difficulty conveying his ideas.
He is the only one who truly understands “the truth”.
He represents SPIRITUALITY.

His name means “spear-bearer”.
He is described as “the dark one”.
He appears timid/shy/quiet.
He represents SAVAGERY.
