White line represents approximate flight track of LH flight from Rome to Frankfurt.
At the time of the pictures, the airplane had just started to descend to Frankfurt airport; flight level was around ft.

6. Picture 2: taken at 14:44 UTC, over southern Germany, shows towering Cu congestus, which just transform to Cb. On the very left, in the distance, the ring-shape storm with the jumping cirrus shown in the next images.

7. Picture 3: taken at 14:46 UTC with Ricoh GX 100, shows the overview of the situation (image processed with Photoshop by Martin Setvak). Jumping cirrus cloud can be seen on top of the Cb anvil of the ring-shape storm shown in the IR image. Jumping cirrus stayed there for several minutes, until airplane was too low to see it anymore.

8. Picture 4: taken at 14:45 UTC (one minute before the previous picture), shows a zoom (x3) of the storm with the jumping cirrus (image processed with Photoshop by Martin Setvak).

9. Picture 5: taken at 14:48 UTC (airplane already much lower), shows a zoom (x3) of the storm with the jumping cirrus still visible and a new Overshooting Top (OT) appearing just to the left of the jumping cirrus (image processed with Photoshop by Martin Setvak).
